Rahee Awarded Surat Metro Line-2’s Track Work Contract

Rahee Infratech earlier this month was awarded a Rs. 136.66 crore contract to supply and install standard gauge rails on Surat Metro’s 19.26 km Line-2 connecting Bhesan – Saroli.

This corridor of the 40.35 km Surat Metro Phase 1 with 18 elevated stations is under construction through 2 civil packages: 10.56 km CS5 (Bhesan – Majura Gate) and 8.7 km CS6 (Majura Gate – Saroli).

Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) had invited tenders (bids) for this systems contract in May 2022 financed by Agence Française de Développement (AFD) with an unknown estimate.

Technical bids were opened in September 2022 to reveal 6 bidders and financial bids in January 2023.

Back in January, GMRC had awarded RVNL – ISC JV a Rs. 166 crore track-work contract for 22.77 km Line-1 (Sarthana – Dream City).
