Paras Railtech Wins 3 Delhi Metro Depots’ Track Contract

[ad_1]

Paras Railtech Pvt. Ltd. in early August emerged as the lowest bidder to supply and install tracks (Package CT-42) at 3 existing Delhi Metro train maintenance depots built in Phases 1-3.

The scope includes commissioning tracks at the Red Line’s Shastri Park Depot, Blue & Grey lines’ Najafgarh Depot and at the Blue Line’s Yamuna Bank Depot where existing facilities are being augmented to increase maintenance & stabling capacity.

Contract CT-42 is one of the low-value residue projects sanctioned under the 162 km Phase 3 project which is nearing completion.

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) had invited tenders (bids) for it in May 2022 with an estimated cost of Rs. 29.78 crore and 2 year completion completion deadline. Technical bids were opened in June to reveal 3 bidders.

Paras Railtech’s bid was well below DMRC’s estimate, so a contract should get awarded in the coming weeks without a lengthy financial bid evaluation period.

Back in June, Quality Buildcon won Shastri Park and Najafgarh Depot’s civil expansion work – see details. A list of all Delhi Metro Phase 4 packages, their contractors and status can be viewed here.
