PNC Infratech and Ashoka Buildcon on Tuesday emerged as the lowest bidders to construct Packages 2 and 4 in Karnataka of the Solapur-Kurnool-Chennai Economic Corridor (NH-150C), which forms the southern section of what’s known as Surat – Chennai Expressway.

Representational Only: the economic corridor will link Surat’s proposed Ring Road and Chennai Peripheral Ring Road

The lowest bids were well below NHAI’s estimates, so contracts should be awarded in the coming weeks.

I hear financial bids for Package 3 (Maradgi S Andola to Baswantpur) have also been opened, and either DBL or PNC has won it. If someone is aware, leave a comment below or send me a message via the contact page.

A tender notice for the 26 km Package 1 (Akkalkot to MH/KN Border at Badadal) is still pending. A list of this economic corridor’s packages and their status can be viewed here.
