APCO Wins Bangalore – Chennai Expressway’s PH2 Package 2
APCO Infratech today emerged as the lowest bidder for constructing the 260.85 km Bangalore – Chennai Expressway Phase 2’s Package 2 after National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) opened financial bids.
This section between Baireddypalle and Bangarupalem (Km 96.000 to Km 127.000) is 31 km long and lies entirely within Andhra Pradesh. NHAI invited bids for it in December 2020 with a completion period / deadline of 730 days (2 years). Technical bids were opened on February 24 to reveal 8 bidders.

Brief Scope: Construction of 4-Lane Expressway from km 96.000 to km 127.000 of Baireddypalle to Bangarupalem Section in the State of Andhra Pradesh of Bangalore Chennai Expressway on Hybrid Annuity Mode under Bharatmala Pariyojna (Phase-II Package-II)

APCO’s bid was just 6.82% higher than NHAI’s estimate, so they should receive a LOA in the coming weeks for Phase 2 Package 2’s construction.
The Bangalore – Chennai Expressway project has been divided up into 3 phases with a total of 10 sections / packages between their terminals at Hoskote and and Sriperumbudur. With today’s development, financial bids for 8 packages have been opened and contracts for at least 2 of those have been awarded.
