Bids Invited for Mumbai–Ahmedabad HSR’s Packages P1B & P1C

India’s National High Speed Rail Corporation Ltd. (NHSRCL) on Thursday invited tenders (bids) to construct 5 prestressed concrete (PSC) and 11 steel truss bridges within Gujarat for the 508.17 km Mumbai – Ahmedabad High Speed Rail (MAHSR Bullet Train) project which’ll connect both cities through 12 stations at an estimated cost of Rs. 1.1 lakh crore (US$15 billion).

Bids have been invited under two packages (P1B & P1C) for bridges of various sizes over roads, highways and railway crossings. Each package corresponds to a main-line civil package, both of which were awarded to Larsen & Toubro (L&T) at separate times over the past couple of weeks.

Note – the fabrication and transportation of the steel truss girders will be done by a separate contractor through Package P4 X & Y for which NHSRSCL received 8 bids in September.

Package: MAHSR-P-1(B)

This bridge package corresponds to the 237.1 km Package C4 (Zaroli Village on MH/GJ border to south of Vadodara) which is the longest of the line with 4 stations at Vapi, Bilimora, Surat and Bharuch in Gujarat.

Scope: Construction of Bridges for Double Line High Speed Railway for 04 No. PSC Bridges (GAD 9, 10, 11 & 1441) and 07 No. Steel Truss Bridges (GAD 68, 1134, 12, 61, 14, 15 & 62) [excluding fabrication and transportation of steel truss girders] between Zaroli Village at Maharashtra-Gujarat Border (MAHSR Km. 156.600) and Vadodara (MAHSR Km. 393.700), in the State of Gujarat and the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli for the Project for Construction of Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail

Package: MAHSR-P-1(C)

This bridge package corresponds to the 87.569 km Package C6 (north of Vadodara to Ahmedabad) which is the 3rd longest of the line with one station and a minor depot at Anand-Nadiad

Scope: Construction of Bridges for Double Line High Speed Railway for 01 No. PSC Bridge (GAD 33) and 04 No. Steel Truss Bridges (GAD 28, 1967, 31 and 32) [excluding fabrication and transportation of steel truss girders] between Vadodara (MAHSR Km. 401.898) and Ahmedabad (MAHSR Km. 489.467), in the State of Gujarat for the Project for Construction of Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail

  • Completion Period: 1096 days (3 years)
  • Pre-bid Meeting: 14-Dec-2020 at 11:00 AM
  • Date & Time of Submission of Tender: 18-Feb-2021 at 03:00 PM
