RVNL Wins Nagpur Metro Phase 2 Viaduct Package C-01’s Contract

[ad_1]

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) in a regulatory filing last week announced it was declared as the lowest bidder for 6.92 km Package C-01 in Reach 2A of Nagpur Metro’s 43.8 km Phase 2 project.

13 km long elevated Reach 2A will extend Nagpur Metro’s 19.658 km Orange Line, built in Phase 1, north-eastward from Automotive Square to Kanhan River via 12 elevated stations.

The construction of stations and viaduct connecting them are being tendered out separately. Package C-01’s scope for only the viaduct’s work spans from east of Automotive Square Station to Lekha Nagar Station.

Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MAHA-METRO) had invited bids for its construction in February 2023 with an unknown estimate and 30 month completion deadline. Technical bids were opened in April 2023.

RVNL’s Bid: Rs 394,89,84,782

Brief Scope: Design And Construction Of Elevated Metro Viaduct Of Length 6.92 Km Between Ch. (-) 657.182 M To Ch. (-) 7576.78 M In Reach 2A Of NMRP Phase-2.

I don’t have a list of bidders and their bid values for either package If someone does, then leave a comment below or shoot me a message via the Contact page. I’d like to add it in here for record keeping.

MahaMetro’s estimate remains unknown to me, so we’ll have to wait and see how this plays out. If awarded, RVNL will subcontract out work to a civil construction company as seen in other metro projects.

Construction of 6 stations en-route at Pili Nadi, Khasara Fata, All India Radio, Kheri Fata, Lok Vihar and Lekha Nagar will be carried out via Package C-05. Bids were invited in March 2023 and technical bids were opened on June 14.
