HG Infra Wins Karnal Ring Road’s Construction Contract

[ad_1]

H.G. Infra Engineering Limited (HGIEL) earlier this month emerged as the lowest bidder to construct the 34.5 Karnal Ring Road (Bypass) project.

This 6 lane access-controlled greenfield highway by National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) in Haryana is being developed under Bharatmala Pariyojana program. Its semi circular route will connect Shamgarh on NH-44 with village Samalakha on Karnal Munak Road.

NHAI invited tenders for its civil construction in July 2022 with a 730 day (2 year) deadline and Rs. 753.47 crore estimate. Technical bids were opened on November 22 to reveal just 2 bidders. Financial bids were opened on December 14.

HG Infra’s bid was 33.33% higher than NHAI’s estimate, so it remains to be seen if this will be awarded. NHAI doesn’t typically re-invite bids, so this will definitely be negotiated.
