[ad_1]

KEC International Ltd. on Tuesday was declared as the lowest bidder for the 25 kV OHE & 33 kV power supply contract of the 65.1 km Delhi Metro Phase 4 project‘s elevated corridors.

Delhi’s new Phase 4 is well under construction and includes 1 new line (23.62 km Silver Line: Aerocity – Tughlakabad) and the extension of the Magenta Line (28.92 km Janakpuri West – R.K. Ashram) and Pink Line (12.58 km Mukundpur – Maujpur).

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) invited tenders for this major systems contract in February 2022 with an unknown estimate and 1440 day (3.95 year) deadline. Technical bids were opened in May to reveal 4 bidders.

DMRC’s estimate remains so I can’t provide an assessment on how KEC’s bid is placed and the chances of a contract getting awarded.

This package is just one of the many electrification-related packages in Phase 4. Interestingly the OHE electrification package for remodeling Ajronda and Sarita Vihar Depots was also numbered DE-02. That contract was won by Salasar Techno Engineering in January 2021.
