6 construction firms / consortia have submitted bids to build tunneling Package DC09 of the 23.622 km Silver Line through Chhattarpur after the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) today opened technical bids.
This 6.51 km section, with twin-tunnels smack-dab in the middle of Phase 4’s Silver Line, will connect Kishangarh Station’s east-end (chainage 5356.285) with a ramp (chainage 11867.000) west of Saket G Block Station through 4 stations at Chhattarpur (interchange with Yellow Line), Chhattarpur Mandir, IGNOU and Neb Sarai.
DMRC invited tenders for this contract – financed by JICA – in May 2021 with a 42 month deadline and an unknown estimate. They had previously estimated it to cost Rs. 1427.872 crore, but I’m not sure if that is still current. The assigned contractor will be required to use at least 5 tunnel boring machines (TBMs).
