About Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC)
GMRC, formerly known as MEGA (Metro-Link Express for Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad), is tasked with the development and operation of mass rapid transit systems in Gujarat. It currently operates metro networks in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, with upcoming expansions in Surat and other regions.

Educational Qualification & Experience
1. Chief General Manager / General Manager (Corporate Planning)
- Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or E&C.
- Experience:
- CGM: 20–23 years with 10 years relevant; must have drawn ₹2.5L+ monthly or equivalent scale.
- GM: 17–20 years with 10 years relevant; 2+ years in ₹1,00,000+ IDA or CDA equivalent.
- Preferred: Experience in metro/railway projects, JICA/AFD/KfW funded projects.
2. Joint GM (O&M)
- Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics or any graduate with relevant experience.
- Experience: 12–14 years; 4+ years in Railway/Metro O&M preferred.
3. Deputy GM (Signalling / Rolling Stock)
- Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation.
- Experience: 8–10 years in Railway/Metro signalling or rolling stock systems.
4. Assistant Manager (Rolling Stock / Traction / UG-E&M)
- Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, Power Electronics or Instrumentation.
- Experience:
- 5 years (Govt/PSU) or 7 years (Private) in rolling stock, traction or E&M projects.
- Preferable: Metro/urban transport system background.
Application Requirements
- Valid NOC and 5 years’ APAR for Govt/PSU employees.
- Private sector candidates must upload Form-16 or CTC breakup proof.
- Fluency in Gujarati and 3+ years of work experience in Gujarat will be preferred.
General Conditions
- Appointments are for 3 to 5 years on contract/deputation.
- Candidates must meet post-specific experience, pay scale, and age requirements.
- GMRC reserves the right to offer a lower grade if necessary.
- Candidates may be posted anywhere in Gujarat.
