Educational Qualifications and Stipend Details
To qualify for these Mega Engineering Apprentice Jobs At NTPC, candidates must meet specific educational criteria. NHPC offers a structured stipend based on the level of qualification, supplemented by a Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) from the Government of India under the NATS scheme.
Additional Stipend Benefits: A DBT of Rs. 4,000/- for Diploma Apprentices and Rs. 4,500/- for Graduates will be provided by the Government of India under the NATS scheme, included in the above stipends. Candidates must maintain an active Aadhaar-seeded, DBT-enabled bank account. The stipend is subject to satisfactory performance and attendance.
Terms and Conditions
Before applying for Mega Engineering Apprentice Jobs At NTPC, it’s essential to understand the terms and conditions set by NHPC:
Eligibility: Candidates must hold the specified qualifications, be medically fit per the Apprentice Act, 1961, and not be awaiting results or have completed prior apprenticeship training of one year or more.
Age: Minimum 18 years, maximum 30 years, with relaxations for reserved categories as per government guidelines.
Reservation: Follows the Apprentice Act, 1961, with valid caste certificates required for claims.
Physical Standards: A medical fitness certificate is mandatory as per Schedule-II of Apprentices Rule, 1992.
Training Duration: One year, extendable to two years as per the Act.
Accommodation: Shared bachelor accommodation may be provided, or Rs. 2,500/- monthly if unavailable.
Working Hours: Normal office timings with weekly offs and holidays, no compensation for extra hours.
Leave: 12 days casual leave, 15 days medical leave (with certificate), and 20 days extraordinary leave annually.
Intellectual Property: All inventions during training belong to NHPC.
Termination: NHPC can terminate for absenteeism, indiscipline, misconduct, poor performance, or policy violations.
Other conditions include Indian citizenship, complete application submissions, single application per candidate, and no employment guarantee post-training. NHPC disclaims liability for injuries or losses during training and reserves the right to amend terms with official notification.
