7 firms last week submitted bids to install the electrical and mechanical system, environment control system and tunnel ventilation system at 4 stations of Delhi Metro’s new 23.622 km Silver Line.
This mostly underground line of Delhi Metro’s Phase 4 project in South Delhi will connect Aerocity – Tughalakabad via 16 stations. 12 of those stations will be underground and are being constructed through civil packages DC-07 (Afcons Infrastructure), DC-08 (J Kumar Infraprojects) and DC-09 (Larsen & Toubro).
DMRC invited tenders for this contract DE-11, funded by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in July 2022 with a 2.95 year deadline and unknown estimate. The 4 stations included in the scope remain unknown to me. If someone is aware, then drop a comment below.
- Blue Star Ltd.
- Efkon India Pvt. Ltd.
- ETA Engineering Pvt. Ltd.
- Larsen & Toubro (L&T)
- Sterling And Wilson Pvt. Ltd. (SWPL)
- Sudhir Power Pvt. Ltd.
- Universal MEP Projects & Engineering Services Ltd.
DMRC’s Brief Scope: Design verification, Detail engineering, SITC of Electrical and Mechanical system, DG set, Environment control system, Tunnel ventilation system and Building Management System for 4 underground stations of line-10 of Phase-IV of Delhi MRTS.
The bids have now been sent for technical evaluation which can take a couple months to complete. When that is done, the financial bids of the technically qualified bidders will be opened to reveal who’s the lowest bidder and most likely contractor.
The line has another 8 underground stations, so I’m inclined to believe there will be another 2 similar packages/contracts for E&M, ECS and TVS works.
