ITD Cem & HG Infra Awarded Ganga Expressway’s Work


ITD Cementation India and HG Infra Engineering last week were awarded 2 sub-contracts by Adani Enterprises for constructing a portion of the 594 km Ganga Expressway between Meerut and Prayagraj.

This six lane access-controlled expressway in Uttar Pradesh will have a 120m ROW (right of way) and is designed to be expandable to 8 lanes in the future. More design details can be viewed here.

Adani Enterprises had won 3 out of the project’s 4 groups in December 2021 from Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) under the Design, Built, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) basis.

Group 2 (Budaun – Hardoi districts)

  • Length: 151.700 km
  • Subcontracted to: HG Infra Engineering
  • Total Contract Value: Rs. 4971 crore

Group 2 includes civil packages 4-6:

Package 4: Village Nagla Barah/Jarenda (District Budaun) to Village Binawar (District Budaun) 52.100 km
Package 5: Binawar (District Budaun) to Girdharpur (District Shahjahanpur) 46.700 km
Package 6: Village Girdharpur (District Shahjahanpur) to Village-Ubariya Khurd (District Hardoi) 52.900 km

  • Length: 156.947 km
  • Subcontracted to: ITD Cementation India
  • Total Contract Value: Rs. 5480.50 crore

Group 4 includes civil packages 10-12:

Package 10: Village Sarso (District Unnao) to Village Terukha (District Raebareli) 51.800 km
Package 11: Village Terukha (District Raebareli) to Village Naudhiya (District Pratapgarh) 52.000 km
Package 12: Village Naudhiya (District Pratapgarh) to Village-Judapur Dando (District Prayagraj) 53.047 km
