Pragati Construction Consultants is the only bidder to supply and launch 3 special steel spans on Delhi Metro’s 23.622 km Silver Line which will connect Aerocity – Tughalakabad via 16 stations

These spans of Delhi Metro Phase 4’s Package DC-04B will be erected on the line’s 4.28 km elevated section on Mehrauli – Badarpur Road between Saket G-Block and Sangam Vihar. One of those will go up at the intersection with Mandir Marg (view on Google Maps) and two at the intersection with Ambedkar Nagar’s side streets (view on Google Maps).

This section’s viaduct and 4 elevated stations are under construction by YFC Projects through Package DC-04’s Rs. 726.08 crore contract awarded by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) in December 2019 with a deadline of 36 months.

DMRC invited tenders for the spans’ contract in April 2022 with a 270 day deadline and Rs. 17.26 crore estimate.

DMRC’s Brief Scope: Supply, Fabrication, Transportation and Erection of three special steel spans, one at Mandir Marg on Metro Viaduct and Two at Ambedkar Nagar T-Point on M.B. Road for Elevated Integrated Viaduct section of Line-10 of Phase-IV Delhi MRTS

Whether DMRC is satisfied or not with receiving just 1 bid remains to be seen. If they aren’t, then this will head to a retender. If they are, then Pragati’s technical bid will be evaluated for the next steps in the tendering process.

Prior to this, Pragati had completed Delhi Metro Pink Line’s long pending 288.38m missing viaduct in Trilokpuri using steel composite girders – see details and images.
